Little Free Library — Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum

Little Free Library

Inspired by Andrew Carnegie’s love for books and libraries (Carnegie helped build over 2,000 free public libraries around the world), our museum is delighted to be a home of one of Little Free Library book-sharing boxes. The library is situated outside and can be accessed any day and any time!

Little Free Library is a nonprofit movement that inspires readers and expands book access for all through a global network of volunteer-led little libraries. Through Little Free Library book exchanges, millions of books are exchanged each year, profoundly increasing access to books for readers of all ages and backgrounds.
